Operating principle of the ring system
Electrons discharged through the foil, under the action of rotating magnets change their direction of motion and produce comprehensive irradiation of the object, as depicted in Figure 2.

The system works effectively at electron energies above 1.2 MeV. At lower energies it is also operable, but the beam utilisation rate is reduced due to electron scattering in the foil and air. The system is supplied as optional equipment to a typical machine and can be easily installed and removed when changing technology.
